ZenZen Chat uses third-party AI services to provide you with personalized guidance about nutrition, meal planning, and well-being during pregnancy. This page explains which services we use, what data is shared with them, and how your information is protected. Current AI service providers: OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C., San Francisco, USA) — used for generating chat responses. Anthropic (Anthropic, PBC, San Francisco, USA) — used as a backup service when the primary provider is unavailable.
What data is shared when you use the chat: Your recent blood glucose readings (up to the last 5 values), your recent meals and food logs, your food allergies and dietary preferences, your pregnancy week, your sleep quality data, and your message history within the chat. Your name, email address, and account credentials are never sent to these services.
Why this data is shared: The AI needs context about your health and diet to give relevant, personalized responses. Without this information, the chat could only offer generic advice. How your data is protected: Data is sent over encrypted connections (TLS). It is processed in real time to generate a response and is not stored by the AI providers after the request completes. Your data is not used to train or improve AI models. We use the providers' API services, which have separate data processing agreements that prohibit using customer data for model training.
Your choices: You can accept or decline AI data sharing when you first open ZenZen Chat. If you decline, the chat feature is unavailable but all other app features work normally. You can change your decision at any time in Settings > Manage My Consent. Changes to this page: We will update this page whenever we add, remove, or change AI service providers.
